Believing
that there is no greater virtue being a physician than caring
for patients, Dr. Rappaport opened his practice for the specialty
of Allergy and Immunology for all ages, and the primary care of
Pediatrics in 1965. Since teaching and research are intrinsic
to keeping medically current, Dr. Rappaport balanced patient practice
with his duties (above) as Clinical Professor of Pediatrics, New
York Weill Medical Center (Cornell Medical College), training
young future Allergists and Immunologists and doing basic and
clinical research. He has published over 24 professional articles
in major medical journals and has edited several books on medical
